Slowly returning to the world of blogging...

Hey everyone, obviously it's been a VERY long time since I've blogged and updated the site. Prior to last two months, it was simply because I didn't have a lot of time due to the projects I had been juggling between working at Verizon and my freelance jobs. The past two months have been another story. My mom has always had medical problems, but unfortunately she had a heart attack about 8 weeks ago. She was in the ICU in a hospital back home in Indiana for about a month and then was moved to a rehabilitation floor. Unfortunately, she lost her battle with her illness about three weeks ago. I had been traveling back and forth to Indiana for the last 6 weeks. I'm sure things will get a little better with much time, but it's certainly something that you really can't relate to (at least I couldn't) until you actually go through it. Now that I'm back in PA, hopefully I'll get back to some sort of normal routine soon.

My wife and I are headed off to a vacation soon so I'll definitely be blogging about that when I return. We are headed to Europe (Ireland and England) with her parents. I'm really looking forward to it, as I could stand to do some "fun" traveling for a change.
